Up Against (2010) is a collaboration with poet Mytili Jagannathan and electronic musician Gralin Hughes. Each of us created our own element (words, images, sounds) and then pieced them together into the final piece that then was joined with several others. It was included as part of the Termite TV show Shelter. In the Termite Collective model, the group picks a theme and then each member makes their own 3-5 minute piece as a variation on that theme. Sometimes it’s an eclectic mish-mosh of vignettes, othertimes is a cohesive set of social commentary. But it’s always interesting.
