Kinowatt was a monthly series of social justice themed films I co-curated with Maori Karmael Holmes from September 2011-May 2012. The screenings were held at the Asian Arts Initiative and followed by a discussion or some form of audience engagement. When I had to stop participating, Maori continued on the series in a new form which became the BlackStar Film Festival.
